It seemed a very nice set-up would be falling into place , with an over night Tornado Watch and storms fireing in the Texas Panhandle . I went to work and watched as the storm system moved into Oklahoma . At 7:45 am Tornado Watch 708 was posted for a large area of the state . Around mid-day , storm's that formed in southwestern Oklahoma had made there way into the OKC metro area . I left work and moved south to highway 51/77 in Orlando to wait on a super cell moving up from El Reno , which was the northern of the two cell's . As the cell moved in , a ruff looking wall cloud ( Picture above ) formed and moved over head and moved north east at 60 mph . I chased the cell thought Morrison up to south east of Ponca City where it looked to have a very nice wall cloud , but with the insane speed and heavy tree cover I could not keep it in good view. I returned to Perry , and heard that my cell dropped a Tornado east of Ponca City.
This was my first Fall chase and was a major learning time for me.
