May 10th Oklahoma Outbreak
This has an event the I started watching around a week before . In the week before the event the GFS and NAM weather models was in good agreement with a Tornado Outbreak takeing place in Oklahoma and Kansas . On May 4th the N.W.S. in Norman in there H.W.O. warned of a Tornado event . On the morning of May 10th the S.P.C. posted a High Risk and the stage was set !
Storm 1. Noble County.
With a storm going servere very quickly in the Hennessey area I dropped south down to Hwy 51 , but with storms moving at 60 mph I moved back to Perry . After getting to Perry a Tornado Warning was posted for Northern Noble county . I got on I-35 and headed north untill I saw a small funnel to the west of the Interstate . I got on the south bound lane to get on a good hill and watched a nice cone tornado on the ground. I called OUN and shot some nice video . After the Tornado lifted , I saw that storm's was firing down south and that Sulphur might be in danger .
Storm 2. Purcell
The drive from Perry was intense with Servere storm's in Guthre and Oklahoma City that could go Tornado Warned at anytime. As I drove through Norman , the damege from a Tornado ( a EF4 ) that had hit a short time earlier made the drive a challenge . As I entered the south side of Purcell a large white Funnel 3/4 of the way from ground passed over the Interstate. Fearing that I might have missed a Tornado warned cell in Murray County . I pulled the trigger on the storm and moved over to Hwy 39 and started my way east ( With no data Thank's Sprint ! ) . Never seemed to be able to catch back up the area of intrest , due to insane storm speed's and a ton of local's. I ran across a damege are on the north side of the road outside of Tribby , Ok.
Storm 3. Ardmore , Ok.
After giving up on the Purcell storm I moved down hwy 177 and got to Sulphur as the Tornado Warning was posted for a Tornado 3 mile's S.E . of town . I picked the family up at the tornado shelter and took them home . After getting them home I moved on the last cell heading for southern Carter county . After reaching Ardmore I gave up chase due to storm moving to fast . drove back to the Mountians and watch a beautifull Lightning show and thanked God the chase day was over.
