March. 2007
Target : Wilson , Ok
Risk : Slight.
Got of home from work around 4:00 pm and watched a tornado hit the N.W. side Oklahoma City. As I watched radar , I saw a nice looking storm firing in N.C. Texas . Left out with little hope for anything , but was dieing for a chase. After reaching the Healton / Wilson Y , a Tornado Watch was put out for the area . After an hour a nice looking storm moved up from north Texas moving to the Carter / Jefferson county line . As the storm moved past me about a mile to my west a nice lowered area came in to view . Followed it up to Healton , and watched the lowered area fall apart . Joined up with my friend Mike to watch another cell moving up into the same area, but had a bigger hail core so we pulled and headed to the east of the storm in Lone Grove . Watch Mike hit a light pole on his driver’s side of his suv . Was not pretty . Sat there until the City of Lone Grove cried about us bleeding over there radio’s. Felt bad for Mike , but it was a fun night. | |
